A cold, wet and windy Thursday didn't prevent the work to install the Adderley Heritage Trail signs from going ahead.
The first Heritage Trail Sign was put in place on Wednesday 24th April. Neil and Jamie from Amco Giffen, on behalf of National Highways and Heritage Railways, came and fixed the sign donated by National Highways to the bridge in Station Road.
On Saturday April 27th we will be formally launching the Adderley Heritage Trail funded by the Heritage Lottery. Volunteers have been working hard to bring together this unique experience of Adderley's rich history. Our history covers centuries from being a small hamlet governed by Ethelred through the Norman invasion when there was an outpost with a motte and bailey.
The Adderley Heritage Trail was funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund but was being managed by a group of dedicated volunteers who met every two weeks to make sure things ran as planned.
