Get Involved
Our sense of place grows from our community and from understanding the history from which our community grew.
There are so many ways that you can get involved. You certainly don’t have to be an historian! None of us in the project team are! We are just enthusiastic about preserving this pot of Adderley gold that has been given to us.
From checking documents before they go on the website to choosing some documents or photographs to uncover more about them to add to the information we have to reading minute books to find interesting happenings from the past that we could highlight.
Alternatively, you might consider becoming part of a team of adults and children who will record people’s stories for the website (training will be offered); finding old photographs of homes in the village and maybe helping people to take the photographs we will need to start our 5 yearly Living History photography project.
Perhaps you’ve been involved in a local history society somewhere else and would be able to help us get a group started?
